The Fault in Our Stars Film Review by Fara

A few nights ago, my friends and I watched a heart breaking film, most of my friends cried and I was definitely on the verge of crying as well. This film is about Hazel and Augustus who are just two normal kids. the fault in our starsNormal apart from Hazel’s severe cancer and Augustus’s fake leg. Meeting  at  a support group, Hazel and Augustus
fall madly in love. In the end, Augustus dies; he finds out that his whole body has been overtaken by cancer. In the book, Augustus is asked what his fear was and he said oblivion, he had a fear that he would die and no one would remember him for being great. By the end of the book, Augustus realises that he doesn’t need everyone to love and remember him because the person he cares about (Hazel) will always remember him. Augustus’s death comes abruptly and is quite unexpected. There is a really passionate quote in the film that I like, “It’s a metaphor, see; you put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don’t give it the power to do its killing.”
